Former Zetland Hotel - now apartments
Built by the Stockton and Darlington Railway Company and opened 27 July 1864 this was one of the first railway hotels.
It had its own covered railway platform at the rear entrance, and a stable block.
To make the most of the fine views the round tower was set up as a 'telescope' room. LinkExternal link
