Afon Rheidol
Afon Rheidol
The Rheidol is one of those rivers that haven't got a source. The river south of the Nant y Moch dam LinkExternal link is undisputedly the Rheidol, and Pumlumon is generally regarded as the site of the river source, with Llyn Llygad Rheidol LinkExternal link on its northern slopes named after the river. This suggests that the confluence of the Afon Hengwm LinkExternal link , the Afon Hyddgen LinkExternal link and the Nant y Llyn LinkExternal link should be taken as the start of the Afon Rheidol - still no source proper, though! The picture shows the Rheidol just downstream of the confluence.
