B9020 : Church at Dunlewey, Glenveigh, Donegal B9219 : Dunlewy Old ChurchThe RC church at Dunlewy is dedicated to the Sacred Heart. It was built in 1877 at the expense of William Augustine Ross, the new landlord, and designed by Timothy Hevey. The round tower, a compliment to Irish architectural traditions, is 95 feet (29 metres) high, exceeded by only six of the 65 surviving ancient towers.
The Church of Ireland, of unknown dedication, was built in 1844 and used for only a few years during the incumbency of its sole rector. Since 1955 it has been a roofless ruin.
