The village sits up on a hill above the River Monnow. On the very right of the picture are the castle ruins.
The treeline behind the sheep, follows the course of the Tresenny Brook on its way to join the Monnow.
An interesting grid square with two thirds in Wales and one third in England arranged as a sort of sandwich, caused by the sinuous bends of the River Monnow which forms the boundary between the two countries at this point..
