A view to the west from Spean Bridge Station
Taking advantage of an increasingly rare feature on regular service trains on the British network - opening windows. This is a view from the rear door window of the Caledonian Sleeper en-route from Fort William to London. The sleeping cars are Mark III vehicles, introduced in the early 1980's and therefore not blighted by the later movement towards totally sealed carriages, which are OK until the air-conditioning fails!
