Viaduct over Forder Creek
Viaduct over Forder Creek
A view of SX4157 : Viaduct over Forder Creek from the edge of Forder Lake at high tide. "The piers are of granite and support 8 arches in engineering brick. The viaduct crosses the tidal mill (3 piers are in the pond). It is picturesquely sited at the mouth of Forder Estuary, below Trematon Castle and high above the Tidal Corn Mill." ( LinkExternal link ). This record also suggests the 1880s as a date, although according to LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) the viaduct was only opened in 1908.
