SE1098 : Oxque Bridge rapid, River Swale
near to Downholme, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

Oxque Bridge rapid, River Swale
A tandem open boat descends the shallow and bouldery rapid on the Swale just before the confluence with Oxque Gill during the 2002 Swale Charity Paddle. I have always found this to be one of the more photogenic rapids, easily accessible to spectators via the bridleway from Sour Nook on the Markse road.
