Footbridge over Mill Stream, Eye Mead
Footbridge over Mill Stream, Eye Mead
A small footbridge takes the public footpath over the Old Mill Stream onto Eye Mead and North to Eye Bridge. Eye Mead and the bridge are owned by the National Trust. The Mill Stream is only this full at times of near-flood in winter. During the summer it is usually dry. Near the bridge were once a watermill and Lake Farm Roman vexillation Fortress, both now vanished.
