SH2183 : Sea kayakers under North Stack

taken 12 years ago, 4 km from Holyhead/Caergybi, Isle of Anglesey/Sir Ynys Mon, Great Britain

Sea kayakers under North Stack
Sea kayakers under North Stack
After passing under the South Stack bridge, this Swaledale Outdoor Club group investigated the big cave under North Stack. Conditions were remarkably calm for midwinter, but caution is needed here as the fast ferries from Ireland entering Holyhead generate a big wake which can cause some dangerous waves to arrive here unexpectedly.
