SE0797 : Start of Marrick Steps

taken 13 years ago, near to Marrick, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

Start of Marrick Steps
Start of Marrick Steps
This sharp left hand bend and drop down a shingle bank marks the start of the Marrick Steps section of the River Swale. With a bit more water than seen here, a worthwhile playwave forms at the spot just in front of Ann's bows, which is enough for those in short kayaks to do stern squirts.
