Drayton Lodge, Tring
Drayton Lodge, Tring
This was the lodge for Drayton Manor and was in the parish of Drayton Beachamp, Bucks, until the county boundary was moved to conform with the line of the bypass. It was the only house which was “moved” from Bucks to Herts. The road at the start of the drive is the old A41 (before the bypass was built) and follows the line of the Roman road called Akeman Street.
