Fast flowing stream
Fast flowing stream
This small stream rises from the bank which retains the canal just beneath SK4841 : Raised footpath and retaining wall, Nottingham Canal, see SK4841 : Source of a stream. As it crosses this field by the side of the footpath, (on the left), it appears marked as a drain on the OS 1:25000 scale map. In the centre of this photograph it joins another stream that flows into the River Erewash in SK4741.
