SK5843 : Old railway cutting

Old railway cutting
Old railway cutting
This small area of coppicey woodland was originally the cutting at the northern end of Ashwell Tunnel under Woodthorpe Grange Park. The cutting has been filled in so that it would be difficult to tell that there was once a railway here, if it was not for the bridge at the end where Woodthorpe Drive crosses.
