Former New Inn
Former New Inn
This locally listed former pub was built in the early 19th century, like the nearby Somers Arms (see TQ2749 : The Firs) to take advantage of the site's position at the crossroads of Brighton Road (opened in 1818) and Mill Street/Hooley Lane, which at the time was the route east out of Reigate to Bletchingley and beyond. It closed in 1992/3 and is now a plumber's merchant.
