SE0972 : What, no bridge?

taken 10 years ago, near to Lofthouse, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

What, no bridge?
What, no bridge?
Anyone approaching Blayshaw Gill along the footpath between High Blayshaw and Moor House should be ready for wet feet as there is no footbridge across the beck, which is several metres wide and fast flowing. The only alternative appears to be a slightly hairy, and almost certainly illegal crossing of the aqueduct further upstream. The photographer looked but did not try, and judged that wading with the aid of trekking poles was the least worst option.
