SE1073 : The Nidd at Lofthouse

taken 10 years ago, near to Lofthouse, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

The Nidd at Lofthouse
The Nidd at Lofthouse
The Nidd is usually no more than a rather pathetic little stream as it approaches Lofthouse. This is because most of the water flowing down valley from Scar House Dam finds its way underground at Manchester Hole or Goyden Pot and does not emerge until it reaches Nidd Heads, a strong resurgence just south of the village.
