Holyhead Breakwater
Holyhead Breakwater
In late May 1994 I did a cycling holiday on Anglesey to visit the (then) 11 Robinson's pubs on the island, 13 today. We, my brother and I, cycled from Manchester to Malltraeth, where we stayed for a week, and had very hot and sunny weather. This photo is taken on the day we visited "The Sportsmans" at Caergeillog on the A5. My bike is pictured at the end of Holyhead Breakwater. One point I remember is on the day we arrived we walked down to Malltraeth and went in to the Royal Oak pub and the locals asked "are you English?" and at that point stopped talking in Welsh and started talking in English, typical Welsh hospitality, cheers to all you guys in the "Royal" at Malltraeth on 26/5/1994.
