SX5965 : Hen Tor - Dartmoor
4 km from Sheepstor, Devon, Great Britain

Hen Tor - Dartmoor
Lots of clitter around this tor. Hen Tor is said to derive from a specially shaped rock that is supposed to resemble a hen. More likely, it comes from a corruption of Hinter or Inter which means the middle tor along the hillside and certainly the tor is rather isolated along the hillside.
