SE5181 : Headless White Horse!

taken 15 years ago, near to Kilburn, North Yorkshire, England

Headless White Horse!
Headless White Horse!
From this view the head cannot be seen. This is the start of a walk around the figure which is not cut into chalk but painted on the hillside. I have used the classification "chalk hill figure" as there isn't a classification for "hill figure".
The Kilburn White Horse can be seen from the tower of York Minster and on a clear day as far away as Otley Chevin.
