SD4356 : Receding tide at Bazil Point
taken 15 years ago, near to Glasson, Lancashire, England
Receding tide at Bazil Point
As the tide falls the salt marsh is revealed. This view is taken from just north east of Ferry Cottage looking up the River Lune. The east bank of the estuary is in the distance.
The footpath access to the shoreline has been diverted to avoid some new construction work to the old cottages on the shore and you can just make out an old ladder propped up against the wall on the mid left of the photograph. This is on the grid boundary with
SD4357. The new access is just in front of the sloping fence in the centre of the photograph. The land to the right of this is Fiskes Point, in
SD4457.
