The point at Bazil Point
The point at Bazil Point
Most of this square and its neighbour to the east are mainly occupied by the River Lune estuary, covered by water at high tide with mud banks, sands and salt marsh exposed at low tide. In this photograph the tide is starting to recede and in about 30 minutes a vast area of marsh and mud flats will be exposed, a haven for wading birds.
