Kilkerran Castle Vault
Kilkerran Castle Vault
The vault supported the floor of the castle hall. There was a sleeping area below the vault, at the level of the window on the right. Below this was a cellar. The castle was abandoned by the Fergusson family in the 1730s. (Source: "The Castles Of South-West Scotland", by Mike Salter).
