SP3166 : Fire station

taken 10 years ago, near to Royal Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, Great Britain

Fire station
Fire station
Leamington Spa's distinctly utilitarian main fire station. Unfortunately a fine early villa called Beech Lawn was demolished to make way for this structure. To make it worse Beech Lawn was originally the home of Dr Jephson, a major local benefactor after whom Jephson Gardens was named. It ended its days as a school before being demolished. The fire station sticks out badly amongst the surrounding Regency/Victorian buildings.
