Bridging two lochs
Bridging two lochs
The old bridge crosses where St. Mary's Loch and the Loch of the Lowes meet, a unique scene. The bridge takes eager visitors to the ancient and renowned Tibbie Shiels Inn. This inn has welcomed the cream of Scotland's literary giants, Robert Burns, Walter Scott and James Hogg and many many others. Prime Minister William Gladstone also quenched his thirst there.
