SP9512 : A large hay meadow at Aldbury

taken 15 years ago, near to Aldbury, Hertfordshire, England

A large hay meadow at Aldbury
A large hay meadow at Aldbury
A view across the meadow from the avenue of old horse chestnut trees bounded on the west (left) by Northfield Road, and on the East (right) by a bridleway still regularly used by horse riders. It appears to have been a single field for well over 100 years (and perhaps much more) and may never have been totally enclosed by a fence or hedgerows.
