Gate on the flood defences at Overton
This gate allows access to Overton dyke tidal flap.

A tidal flap is a device designed to allow drainage of surrounding land during low water and flood defence during high water. These are commonly used in areas where tidal high water level is higher than the level of the land behind a sea wall or dyke.
