NY9768 : Trig pillar at Stanley Plantation

Trig pillar at Stanley Plantation
Trig pillar at Stanley Plantation
This trig pillar stands in an unpromising location squeezed between the Military Road, B6318 and Hadrian's Wall National Trail LinkExternal link. Trig pillars are by and large now redundant for the purposes of survey control, which is just as well, as Stanley Plantation which no doubt post-dates the pillar now completely blocks the view to the south.
