Lades Bridge
Lades Bridge
Driving towards Sunderland this is the first bridge on the tidal road. It crosses a deeper channel made by the water flowing through the tidal flap in the Overton dyke. At high tide, about 3 hours before this photograph was taken, the top of the bridge railings were just under water.
