As explained in the notes to SX8671 : Newton Abbot Railway depot and works, the depot is no longer. In this photo from 1978 there are locomotives of three types (classes 50, 46 and 33).
Newton Abbot Station
Newton Abbot railway station is 194 miles from London on the Exeter to Plymouth line via the Reading to Taunton line, at the junction for the branch to Paignton. For many years it was also the junction for Moretonhampstead and the site of a large locomotive workshop. It is operated by First Great Western. The station opened in 1846.
