King Street, Crosshill
The end part of the building in the foreground used to be a shop, open for business up to the early 1970s. The door was on the corner, where the lamp post now stands. In earlier times, before supermarkets and car ownership, the village had 19 shops and small businesses. Now only one shop remains, combined with a Sub-Post Office that survived the recent round of cuts. The next building in the photo is the Royal Hotel.
