Scots pine in the Parkhill Inclosure, New Forest
These Scots pine are growing on damp ground in the west of the huge Parkhill Inclosure. Light rain in the morning has party wetted the trunks, leaving lighter coloured dry patches. This view is fairly typical of this inclosure, which is particularly dreary on an overcast winter's day.
