These single-car diesel units were originally built by Leyland Motors as two-car multiple units, but they will still run in multiple.
They originated as Class 155 from 1987-1988 and were converted to Class 153 by Hunslet-Barcley from 1991-1992.
153319 is running in the colourful East Midland Trains livery and is seen here heading for Newark North Gate.
