Class A4 60007 'Sir Nigel Gresley' doing what she does best, pulling an 11-vehicle trainload of enthusiasts.
34 of these A4s were built by Sir Nigel Gresley in 1935-1938 for the LNER. 4468 'Mallard' is one such locomotive and on 3 July 1938, set a world speed record of 126 mph (202.8 km/h), pulling six coaches and a dynamometer car. A record that has never been beaten by a steam locomotive.
