SN6962 : Stream valley on Pen Llanerch

taken 10 years ago, 3 km from Tregaron, Ceredigion/Sir Ceredigion, Great Britain

Stream valley on Pen Llanerch
Stream valley on Pen Llanerch
A small stream running off the western Elenydd towards the Afon Teifi has formed this valley - presumably with the aid of a retreating glacier in the last ice age. The land on the slope opposite is improved grassland; on this side, hardy moorland grass dominates.
