User's eye view of Reeth Swing Bridge
This is the view a walker sees when about to step onto the deck of the new (2002) Reeth swing bridge, crossing from the SW to the NE bank of the River Swale. Although the deck seems reassuringly high above the river at this level, a previous structure built in 1920 to a similar design was destroyed in 2000 by an uprooted tree carried by a flood.
