SP3166 : Facade

taken 10 years ago, near to Royal Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, Great Britain

If people visit Leamington Spa The Parade must be one of their memories - a Regency street lined with stuccoed buildings. In fact much of The Parade is now effectively a sham, as most of the buildings simply retain the facade with major demolition and redevelopment behind to create modern shops and shopping malls. Some parts are still as built, when they were intended as upmarket terraced homes. This isn't one of them, with the facade hiding a modern store which extends back into the concrete building running out of pic to the right.
