Remains of ruined Castle, Inaltry
The information I have comes from my copy of The Imperial Gazetteer of Scotland published in the early 1850s. The ruin is described as "a very old and massive but anomalous structure,in one part of which is a deep circular hole enclosed by a wall rising to a considerable height. Close to it is a vault with a stair descending into it" This is all that remains over 150 years later!!
