Remains of the rope walk
The rope walk was a long, low, narrow building which ran the 500 or so yards between the Gourock Ropeworks mill at Blackstone NS3274 : Gourock Ropeworks Building and Barrs Brae. As the name suggests, it was used to produce ropes. John Wood St can be seen in the background.
