Tramway Bridge
Tramway Bridge
This bridge used to carry the Lee Moor Tramway over the road near Plym Bridge. The tramway was opened in the late 1860's and was used to carry china clay from the pits at Lee Moor to Plymouth's port facilities. This bridge is near the bottom of a steep 1:11 incline which takes the tramway through Cann Woods down into the Plym Valley.
