TQ1776 : Syon House from Kew Gardens

taken 15 years ago, near to Brentford, Hounslow, Great Britain

Syon House from Kew Gardens.
Syon House from Kew Gardens.
Syon House is owned by the Duke of Northumberland and is topped by the same stiff-tailed lion that adorns Alnwick Castle and bridge. Robert Adam designed the house which is seen across a muddy Thames. The Thames is still tidal here till it reaches Teddington Lock, about 3-4 miles upstream from here.
