Clubhouse, Allerton Municipal Golf Course
Allerton Municipal Golf Course was the second municipal golf course to be opened in Liverpool (the first being at Bowring in 1913), and still one of the earliest municipal golf courses in England. It forms part of the largest expanse of unbroken open green space in the city, an area originally part of the Manor of Allerton. The club house is in the former stable block of Obelisk House also known as Grove House or simply "Allerton".
