Aylesford Priory
The Priory, also known as the Friars, is home to a Carmelite (Roman Catholic) community of brothers (friars) and sisters. It was founded in the 13th century and some of the buildings on the site date back to that time. It was out of religious use from the Reformation until 1949, but it has since been restored and expanded and is now a conference centre as well as a place of pilgrimage.
