Newburgh: warning flags on the Sands of Forvie Nature Reserve
There are tern colonies at the southern tip of the Sands of Forvie Nature Reserve. During the tern breeding season people may not enter the area which is marked off with a fence. The seaward end of the fence is marked with flags to alert people walking down the beach to the fact that they may go no further. To do so could mean a fine of £2,000!
