View from ascent near Trevor Rocks
A large limestone boulder stands where the footpath from the monument to I.D. Hooson turns and steepens to ascend the unnamed edge on the south side of Ruabon Mountain. The spot is an excellent viewpoint over the Llangollen valley, with Trevor Hall Wood (left), Panorama Walk and the Trevor Rocks parking spot (centre; in SJ2343) in the near distance, and Castell Dinas Bran atop the hill (right; in SJ2243). The hillside a short distance east of the boulder is shown in SJ2442 : South face of Ruabon Mountain
