Eglwyseg Plantation (right) is an area of moorland with sparse larches and bracken. The grassy track from the Panorama Walk runs along the north side of the plantation at an elevation of around 420 metres. To the north of the track (left) is a large relatively flat area, one of the high points on Ruabon Mountain (451 metres). In the distance is the junction with the public footpath (left) which ascends from the road at Dinbren Isaf to a cairn on Ruabon Mountain
