SJ2246 : Moorland on Ruabon Mountain
3 km from Pentredwr, Denbighshire/Sir Ddinbych, Great Britain

Moorland on Ruabon Mountain
The pathless moorland east of the col on Ruabon Mountain is a mixture of heather, bilberry and rough grass. This view is looking eastwards towards the col (in SJ2346). The further of the two low double mounds (centre and centre right) hides a water-filled pit, suggesting that they are probably either spoil heaps for mining/quarrying or bomb craters
