Ferensway, Hull
Ferensway, Hull
The former Regent House (now the Pasaz café bar & bistro) at No.185 Ferensway on the corner of Anlaby Road. The building was home to the photographic studios of Turner & Drinkwater from 1885 until about 1970, remodelled to designs by J M Dossor in 1904. It was redesigned yet again in about 1930 with the demolition of buildings west of it to make room for the new 'Ferens Way', a wide street named in honour of local politician and philanthropist Thomas Ferens who died while the road was under construction.
