near to Kingston Upon Hull, Great Britain

Oriental House, Hull
The old dock offices near the entrance to Queen's Dock (now Queen's Gardens), on the west bank of the River Hull. The offices were built in 1820 for the Hull Dock Company but closed in 1871 when new, bigger offices were built at the other end of the dock. The building was purchased by Hull College in about 1998-1999 and the newer offices are now Hull Maritime Museum. Link
For a while the old offices here on Dock Office Row became 'The Mutiny on the Bounty' public house, so-called because the building is on or close to the site of Blaydes Shipyard, builders of a ship called the Bethia which later became better known as the Bounty. Link
