Osmaston Saw Mill
Osmaston Saw Mill
The valley of Shirley Brook was dammed to power mills, of which the most spectacular is this saw mill, powered the overshot wheel underneath the imposing gable. The mill is a rather eccentric alpine style building constructed in 1845 for the owners of Osmaston Hall in whose grounds the mill lies.
