Rempstone Hall
Rempstone Hall
Originally a simple C17 farmhouse much enlarged and restored over the ensuing centuries. The original house is to the left with its rubble stone walls (possibly taken from the ruins of Corfe Castle), and stone slate roof. The remainder, to the rear and to the right, are the result of enlargements that took place in the C18 and C19. Rempstone Hall is the traditional home of the Calcraft family, whose descendants continue to live here to this day. The house is grade II listed.
